4.5 stars You'll need a reservation and the dining room is small. At one point I was distracted by the neighboring table's banter but otherwise a delicious and delightful dinner in Pleasant Hill! The staff was very efficient and pleasant. Warm bread was served with our salads and extra offered when it ran out. The amount of time between ordering and the salads and the salads and dinner were long enough for good conversation but not so long you wonder if your order was lost. My friend had the salmon special and I had the Mediterranean seafood pasta. It had scallops, prawns, sun-dried tomatoes, and mushrooms in a sauce with fresh pasta. My friend was given a complimentary dessert for her birthday and she chose the carrot cake. It was what you would expect for an excellent bakery or talented home baker. Definitely save room for dessert!

I had seen this place the past few years on my annual drive through my home community of Pleasant Hill, OR. Never in my wildest imagination did I think Pleasant Hill would have a culinary delight that is the Cioppino House. I finally made a reservation this summer. The food was excellent, although the subtleties of the tiger prawn and scallop fettucine was probably beyond my now-Midwestern palate. Next time I'll order the Cioppino or a steak. The carrot cake was delicious, too. I liked the dipping sauce for the bread. The server, Jada, was excellent. She was attentive but not intrusive. The new owner, Summer, conversed with all of the customers. I enjoyed our conversation. Long-time devotees of The Cioppino House need not worry about the change in ownership. The original owner was there taking orders. I imagine this restaurant's biggest challenge will be to find a larger venue to accommodate the crowd. With tip, my meal (no drinks) ran $50, but this is very reasonable considering the quality (and quantity) of the food and attentive service. I don't drink wine, but it appeared they had an excellent selection. You should make a reservation ahead of time, as the place fills up quickly after 5:30.

i’m so excited to find little tucked away restaurants like Cioppino. they don’t sit too many at a time, allowing everyone to feel like the service is personal and leaves an inviting atmosphere. the food was absolutely outstanding, i got the lamb myself and would buy it 10 times over. the personal touches, the reservation book, the whole environment was absolutely beautiful. thank you! we will be back!

Super yummy food and now I'm also super full! Easy parking, nice ambience. You'll need a reservation. Fresh seafood dinner options, bread was hot and steaming. I'll def come back to this establishment to try some other dishes. Nice little drive out of Eugene, about 20 minutes from W. Eugene, not bad. Love supporting local family owned restaurants.

My boyfriend surprised me with reservations here for our anniversary back in December. It immediately became my favorite restaurant, and we’ve been back a few times since. Their complimentary bread and the sauce they serve alongside it is absolutely amazing. You can tell a lot of thought went into every dish and you feel so good after eating here. You can’t go wrong, whatever you order will be well worth it. The seafood is fresh and quality, cooked to perfection as well as the steak. The carrot cake (not pictured sadly) has little pieces of crystallized ginger, the cheesecake is so delightfully creamy. All the apps we’ve tried have been amazing, and they will split the dinner salads in half upon request and they make lovely appetizers that way too. We haven’t tried their other salads yet because we’re so obsessed with the beet salad, but I’m sure as with everything else they’ll be the closest to perfection human hands can make.
